Animal Abuse Against A Pitbull Named Honeybee

Bookmark and Share

I received this letter in my email about a beautiful dog-named Honeybee. The story speaks of yet another form of abuse. Here is it is, it brought tears to my eyes when I read about such a horrible act of cruelty.

Honeybee’s Story

“We've got another abuse case, this time on a Pitbull. Her name is Honey, and for good reason. In spite of the breed's bad rep, she is sweet as honey. She was in foster care, but has now been returned to a local shelter. Her chances of getting out alive are slim.

Her story. A next-door neighbor in the Dallas area heard a dog screaming in pain. She peeked over her fence and saw two men hold Honey down, trying to cut off her ears. The neighbor called the police and animal control took Honey. The person cutting Honey turned out to be a veterinarian from Mexico, if you can believe the horror of that.

Honey is housebroken and is good with even small dogs. Her foster home had a number of older Maltese. The foster mom could no longer keep Honey as her husband insisted that she reduce the number of household dogs. Hard choices had to be made, and Honey was returned to the shelter. She has all of her shots, is spayed and on heartworm preventative.”

My View

Now if you can imagine the pain of taking a knife and barely cutting yourself, it will hurt, but your instinct tells you stop because the pain is unbearable. This poor defenseless Pitbull named Honey was enduring this pain as it was forced onto her. If she had bitten someone, she would be a bad Pitbull. Who, in their right mind would subject a dog that they are supposed to love and care for to this pain? Not to mention the potential for infection and death.

The vet as he called himself should be jailed for practicing without a license in the United States, not to mention, endangering the safety of another, cruel and inhuman treatment as well as intent with a deadly weapon. The Pitbull could have died from a blotched amputation. What is wrong with people who allow these practices to be done? Maybe that is how they do things in Mexico, but not here. That man as I will put it lightly belongs in jail. Also, if he is not a citizen, lock him up in the deportation jail. I hear it can take years for the deportation process to be completed.

“If you have a love of Pitbull’s, you may want to see about adopting Honey. She is located in Texas. Please use the contact info below if you are interested in saving Huneybee. The Colony Animal Shelter, 972-370-9250”

This is another story about the same thing happening to a Pit Bull in Milwaukee, Wiscosin. Chopper also needs a new home.
