Punishments For Dog Mistreatment And Cruelty

Bookmark and Share

People have no concern for harming a precious animal. A dog that has been mistreated, not cared for, starved or abandoned will have memories of this type of treatment forever. They have memories and feelings just as we as humans do. What are the punishments today for animal cruelty? You will be surprised to learn that they amount to a fine, very low mind you, to a couple days in jail, only in some cases. What is the difference between child abuse and animal abuse? In my mind, there is no different, both depend on us to care for them and nurture them.

Now, why would the laws governing child abuse not carry over to animal abuse? I see no difference between the two. Children need love and caring to grow and become a part of society, animals need love and caring to grow to become a part of society. Both need the same thing, so why are there not any laws to protect animals from abuse. People must stand up, take a stand on the treatment of animals in our society, and insist on harsher punishments for all involved.

Look at the love in the eyes of a dog or any other animal, see there expressions of love and fear, how could it be all right to mistreat them and leave them to die an inhumane death? You see news reports of people running puppy mills and these dogs are in horrible conditions. Why were they allowed to do this in the first place? Why don’t people report these horrible acts on animals to officials? Are we living in a society that renders itself anonymous to such acts of cruelty? People need to start taking affirmative action when it comes to saving these poor creatures from a life of misery and death.

If you see animals in need of help, stay a stance and call someone who can help. Never sit back and allow this to happen. Our children and our animals need protection. Just because we did not give birth to our animals, we still owe them the perfect life. They are our children in some ways. They depend on us to feed them, guide them and love them, same as children do. Tomorrow a look at people who continue to allow their dogs to mate for money purposes.
