Vacation Rentals For All Pets

Wilderness Vacation Pet Friendly Rentals

If you love the outdoors and the wildlife sounds, vacation rentals in the wood areas of many places will provide everything you want in a vacation. The pet friendly vacation rentals do remind guests to keep a close eye on their pets incase of possible dangers from the wildlife. Dogs and bears usually stay away from each other, but some bears will not back down, therefore, always know where the pet is at all times.

Do not allow dogs to dig holes and ruin the area around the vacation rentals. These units rely on people to take care of their pets and prevent them from misbehaving. If your dog needs to be outside, always keep them on a leash to provide safety. Dogs are born explorers and vacation rentals in the wilderness realize this, so they recommend certain things as far as your responsibilities.

Make sure pets have all vaccinations before traveling to your vacation rentals. These areas although safe, have populations of skunks, bears, deer and almost any critter known in the country. So take care of your pets for their own safety. Do not forget to enjoy the scenery and watch the deer run around in the wooded areas from the comfort of the vacation rentals.

Exotic Pets and Vacation Rentals

Many people consider a family pet many different things. Vacation rentals might consider family pets a dog or a cat. You should check with the agent making your reservation what the policy is regarding pets. Some may not have any guidelines, but some have now began to specify what type of pet they consider for allowing.

Exotic pets might pose a potential scare of other area renters. Snakes, ferrets, lizards, rats and birds may not be included in the guidelines. The pet friendly vacation rentals normally refer to cats and dogs. You would not want your neighbors waking up to a potbelly pig snoring to get inside during the morning outing.

Vacation rentals have come along way by allowing pets and giving people other options than kenneling their pets. Therefore, everyone has to follow the rules set by the rentals in order to keep this policy in affect so everyone can enjoy a vacation without worrying about the one they left behind.

Following all rules and watching out for the safety yourself, your pet and others around you is important when vacationing with family pets. Keep everyone happy and clean up after your pets daily to ensure cleanliness and rest easy when getting your deposit refunded.

Summer Pet Friendly Vacation Rentals

Summer brings about family vacations and people not wanting to leave the family pet. Vacation rentals now offer pet friendly accommodations in many different areas. If you want hiking in the mountains, or on the beach, you will find many vacation rentals that allow you to bring the pets.

When you decide where you want to go, just look for the places that have pet friendly logos or ads that invite you and your beloved pets. Summer is a popular time for everyone to take the family and pets so make reservations early. If you need further assistance once you arrive, just ask, they always like to supply any information you may need.

Swimming, hiking and sightseeing with your pet might be just what you both need. With the nice vacation rentals available, you can have a nightly bonfire if they have fire pits available. This makes for a nice relaxing evening outdoors. Always remember safety when you have pets and fires together. If your pet is not use to fires, you need to use caution.

The pet friendly vacation rentals have different rates for different types of units. This may or may not include a refundable pet deposit. Ask about this when you make your reservations.

Winter Wonderland Vacation Rentals

Pet friendly vacation rentals offer specials during the winter months, which allow you to take the family pets and enjoy some skiing and snow boarding. Now during the winter letting the dog out may require shoveling an area for outdoor activities. Most rentals provide shovels for this purpose. Just in case, you might want to request one at the rental when making the reservation.

Remember if you do find vacation rentals that allow pets, you do not want to leave the dog outside for long periods due to the cold and snow. You might want to let them out for short times so they do not get frostbite or to wet from the snow. Vacation rentals during the winter provide warm cozy nights around the fireplace and warm the inside as well.

Always remember to keep the pet away from the fire just in case it might get scared and do something dumb, as we know all family pets do. When you stay at vacation rentals always practice safety even with the best pets, they have their moments. You want a great vacation and having your family pet along, provides for fun and happy times in any vacation rentals you choose.

Learn About A Healthy Dogs Diet

Bookmark and Share

A healthy dog’s diet means just that, they need to eat the proper food and have the right amount of food. You can buy inexpensive dog food that might not have all the necessary and recommended daily allowances needed for a nutritional diet. Some people feel that feeding a dog people food is acceptable, but they are completely wrong. A dog needs the nutrition’s found in dog food to stay healthy.

The diet can affect the inner health of the dog and the outer health. If you feed your dog an improper diet, the hair can become dull and fall out at a faster rate than a dog that has a proper diet. The vital organs of your dog require certain nutrition’s to remain operational and sustain good health. You cannot just feed your dog people food. Although they seem to prefer what you eat, you need to limit the intake of these foods and make them eat their own food.

Whether you buy the dog food already made or you choose to make it yourself, you need the right nutritional values per serving. Many people including myself have tried making the dog food from recipes found at the veterinarian’s office or online. Keep in mind that not all dogs can eat the same foods as others. I had to stop because it cause intestinal upset and the results were not healthy. The traditional store bought dog food was the best for my dogs.

If you find yourself using the wrong dog food because it is cheaper in price, you need to compare the ingredients between a recommended dog food and your brand. If the nutritional values are the same, you will be giving your dog exactly what they need to grow and stay healthy. If not, you may have to supplement their diet with vitamins, which is not easy to trick them into taking them.

The overall health of your dog is vital for healthy bones and organs as well as hair and teeth. Dogs do need to have a proper diet and exercise to live longer and happier. Never over feed your dog, some dogs will eat all the food given at one time, therefore, regulate how much they get and how many times a day.

Kenneling Your Dog When You Travel

Bookmark and Share

Recently, I had the chance to talk to a kennel owner about boarding my two dogs for the weekend. I have never boarded my dogs before and I was amazed at what is required. . Most kennels now require that the dogs have a kennel cough shot and you need to have proof of vaccinations. I find that this is a great way to run a kennel for dogs. It was explained, that this particular kennel has never had a problem with kennel cough and will continue to keep up the reputation.

I learned about the different types of accommodations dogs have to choose from at a kennel. I of course wanted the doggie suites for my dogs. They have a little bed, pillow, rug and a television with a VCR, but they are booked three months out. The room I picked will have playtime for the dogs a few times a day and they will be in an indoor/outdoor kennel. They also have indoor kennels only and the dogs are let out throughout the day.

I picked this particular kennel because I know about the reputation and I had heard they were very good with the dogs. The kennel is kept spotless and has no problems with clients picking dogs up on Sunday’s between 5PM and 6PM. They understand the need for clients to pick dogs up before going back to work on Monday. This is a great service with no added charge.

I am looking forward to my weekend getaway, but I will miss my dogs. I know they will be taken care of or I would not go. If a kennel has a good reputation and the premises are exceptionally clean, you can be sure they will take care of your beloved animals. People who run kennels just to make dollar and have no compassion for animals will not be a good kennel to place your dog.

The fact that this kennel owner takes the dogs outside four to five times a day, makes me think she must really love her job, if you can call it that.

Overseas Pet Friendly Vacation Rentals

Bookmark and Share

If you have decided to travel with your pet overseas, you will find pet friendly vacation rentals that offer walking services in the event, you are tired or out for the day. This adds to the beauty of being able to take your pet with you. When you reach your destination, check in and settle Brutus into his new surroundings.

Never just drop the pet off and leave right away, they need assurance with petting and communication from you. Vacation rentals allow you to come and go as you please and not all require you to have housekeeping services during your stay. This might help with strangers walking in and out of the room.

Since the vacation rentals are overseas, they will require proof of vaccinations, which you also need for the plane trip. Have all necessary information available if needed. Sometimes these vacation rentals offer other doggie services, such as bathing and grooming. The pet friendly places today realize how people feel about their pets and try to be accommodating.

If you do find a need for any services, there should be a list of services and hours with phone numbers available in the vacation rentals next to the phone or on the door. Always follows safety rules when taking your pet along overseas. Many countries have different pet policies.

Sightseeing with your Pet

Sightseeing with your pet, well in some cases the pets not allowed policy causes problems. Vacation rentals that allow pets seem to know this and some can recommend dog walking services and daytime dog sitting companies. Many places have maps of area recreational hiking trails that allow both the family and the family pets.

Restaurants do not adhere to the pet friendly standards; therefore leave pets at home if you plan to dine out. Speaking of restaurants, you may ask for a doggie bag to go if the family pet eats table scrapes. So many vacation rentals have changed their policies about bringing the family pets. This helps boost tourism for all of the area and keeps the visitors happy.

Before you make your reservations always ask about any special rule or requests they may have about pets. This prevents any misunderstanding when you arrive at the vacation rentals. These pet friendly places invite everyone to bring their pets and enjoy your vacation. However, check to make sure what they consider a pet before you take a lizard or a ferret, they may not feel the same way you do about these little critters, even if they are adorable to you and your family.

Dog Grooming Is Essential For Good Health

Bookmark and Share

Dog grooming is just as important in the regards to the health of your dog. Many people do not realize when they get a dog, that they need to be brushed, have the nails clipped, ears cleaned, teeth brushed and bathed to stay healthy. Just because a dog has short hair does not mean they do not need to be brushed. Brushing stimulates the skin and rids the body of dead skin and loose hair. This is done in dogs of all breeds. Long hair dogs will need this on a daily basis more so than a short hair dog.

Bathing is needed for all breeds of dogs, but do not over do it. A dog’s skin is sensitive and should be bathed when needed, but not so often that they develop a ski problem. The right type of soap is needed as well. There are soaps for sensitive skin, detangling shampoo, flea and tick shampoo as well as other brands for different conditions. When choosing a shampoo, you should make sure it is right for your dog.

Nail clipping is needed if the dog does not do a lot of walking or running on cement. A dog that walks daily will more than likely not need to have their nails clipped. The cement wears the nail down sort of like an emery board does. For dogs with less exercise, you need to keep the nails short. When doing this, make sure you do not clip the “quick”, which will bleed and cause pain to the dog. For this procedure, some people take the dog into a dog grooming salon.

Ears and teeth cleaning is also a part of dog grooming. For the ears, if you have a dog that has floppy ears, you need to keep the ears clean with a solution or a damp cloth. These dogs have no air reaching the ears and the dirt stays inside because the ears hang down. You need to clean the ears to prevent ear infections. Breeds with ears that stand up, normally just need a wet cloth gently rubbed around the ear to get any dirt that may be inside. This is unusual because there ears normally stay clean.

The teeth are hard to keep clean. Many dogs will not let you brush their teeth. In this case, the proper chew toy or bones are needed to keep the teeth clean and free of tartar build-up. Before buying a dog, you need to be aware, dogs of any kind need to be groomed. Dog grooming is very importation to stay healthy.

Details Of Her Punishment For Animal Abuse

Bookmark and Share

Cassandra Dietrich was from Rock, Michigan. She was accused and convicted of animal abuse. Some who new her said she used to work with rescue groups and took in Weimaraners as well as helped many people in the Weimaraner group. She was always there for advice and to lend a helping hand. So what happened to Cassandra Dietrich? The story goes like this. She bred and showed her dogs and took very good care of them. The reports though, reported her as being a puppy mill or what is called a backyard puppy mill.

She met a man and fell in love. He was from Finland and she was moving to be with him. She had told people she had dogs that needed good homes, but did not find anybody. This is when she committed this horrible case of animal abuse. In the dead of winter, she took one dog with her and left the other dogs in the freezing cold house. There was no food or water as well as no heat and the pipes had frozen.

One of the dogs included a puppy that should have weighed sixty pounds, but weighed less than forty pounds when found. The puppy was a co-owned dog, five Weimaraners were her own dogs, and one was a foster dog. The Humane Society nurture the dogs back to health and found new homes for them. Thank God, they all survived. Anyone who knew or had any connections to Cassandra Dietrich where not allowed to adopt any of the dogs. They were all adopted to people that knew nothing of this woman.

The problem is the punishment she received for this inhumane treatment of these Weimaraners. As I have stated before, animal abuse needs to stop and the punishments need to be harsher. Cassandra Dietrich had to pay $2900 in restitution and could not own a dog or any animal for ONE YEAR. Can you believe this punishment? Restitution only and no fine or jail time.

The dogs according to the Humane Society were covered with feces, underweight, emaciated and dehydrated along with other medical problems. These Weimaraners were left to die and all she received was restitution and could not own a dog or any animal for one year. Where is the justice in this?

Last year she and her husband moved from Finland to Atlanta, Georgia, but while in Finland she owned a dog, it was some type of mixed breed. As the story goes, she died of some disease in December of 2006 it was a severe allergy to gluten but I am unsure of the exact name of the health problem. Cassandra Dietrich was just one of the millions of people who get away with cruel and inhumane treatment to animals or did she? Only one person knows for sure.

Animal Abuse Against A Pitbull Named Honeybee

Bookmark and Share

I received this letter in my email about a beautiful dog-named Honeybee. The story speaks of yet another form of abuse. Here is it is, it brought tears to my eyes when I read about such a horrible act of cruelty.

Honeybee’s Story

“We've got another abuse case, this time on a Pitbull. Her name is Honey, and for good reason. In spite of the breed's bad rep, she is sweet as honey. She was in foster care, but has now been returned to a local shelter. Her chances of getting out alive are slim.

Her story. A next-door neighbor in the Dallas area heard a dog screaming in pain. She peeked over her fence and saw two men hold Honey down, trying to cut off her ears. The neighbor called the police and animal control took Honey. The person cutting Honey turned out to be a veterinarian from Mexico, if you can believe the horror of that.

Honey is housebroken and is good with even small dogs. Her foster home had a number of older Maltese. The foster mom could no longer keep Honey as her husband insisted that she reduce the number of household dogs. Hard choices had to be made, and Honey was returned to the shelter. She has all of her shots, is spayed and on heartworm preventative.”

My View

Now if you can imagine the pain of taking a knife and barely cutting yourself, it will hurt, but your instinct tells you stop because the pain is unbearable. This poor defenseless Pitbull named Honey was enduring this pain as it was forced onto her. If she had bitten someone, she would be a bad Pitbull. Who, in their right mind would subject a dog that they are supposed to love and care for to this pain? Not to mention the potential for infection and death.

The vet as he called himself should be jailed for practicing without a license in the United States, not to mention, endangering the safety of another, cruel and inhuman treatment as well as intent with a deadly weapon. The Pitbull could have died from a blotched amputation. What is wrong with people who allow these practices to be done? Maybe that is how they do things in Mexico, but not here. That man as I will put it lightly belongs in jail. Also, if he is not a citizen, lock him up in the deportation jail. I hear it can take years for the deportation process to be completed.

“If you have a love of Pitbull’s, you may want to see about adopting Honey. She is located in Texas. Please use the contact info below if you are interested in saving Huneybee. The Colony Animal Shelter, 972-370-9250”

Abandoned Puppies On The Side Of The Highway

Bookmark and Share

A while back, there was an article about six adorable little puppies being found on the side of a highway in a garbage bag. A motorist had stopped to stretch and was standing by his car when he heard yelping and crying coming from the bag. He quickly called police and went to explore. The bag was tied shut, cruel, but thank God, or these puppies would have been killed on the highway. He quickly took the bag back to his car and opened the bag to find six hungry puppies barely moving.

The officer arrived and called a rescue group who responded within an hour to take the puppies and care for them. The puppies all lived and were adopted into good homes. The man on the side of the road was the first one to adopt one of the little ones. These puppies were five weeks old, had never asked to be born, and could not have possibly hurt anyone. Why would someone do something so cruel? Today, you can take unwanted puppies, dogs, cats or any animal to a rescue or Humane Society, therefore, there was no reason for these puppies to be abandoned.

The problem I see is that no one was ever found and made to pay for this cruel and inhumane treatment of these innocent puppies. Why can’t the crime lab do what they do in a murder or other criminal act? Check the bag for fingerprints and ask post advertisements for information from the public. These are living and breathing puppies, therefore, they disserve the same rights as a human. What was done to punish the offenders?

There was absolutely nothing done because no one took the time to do lab tests to find the offender. If it would have been a person, you had better believe someone would have gone to the ends of the earth to find the criminal. There has to be a solution and a law to prevent this type of cruelty. More people need to stand up and fight for stiffer punishments and not just a fine. This was a deliberate act of “endangering the life of another”. How many years in prison is that worth if it was a human? These poor animals need our help.

I for one would support any law that would demand jail or prison time for any offenders. This is an ongoing problem and people need to held responsible. Don’t you agree?

Puppy Mills On The Rise

Bookmark and Share

Puppy mills are on the rise, on not only farms but also right in the neighborhoods. People have taken a male and a female and bred not for quality or healthy puppies, but for profit. Yes, many breeders are reputable and breed dogs, but they take the time to have vet check ups to ensure the health of the mother and father. They have the puppies checked by a vet and the first shots are usually given.

If you buy a puppy, you want it to be healthy and physically fit. Puppy mills have deplorable conditions as we see many stories on the news about hundreds of dogs being kept in small kennels and only used for breeding. I did some research on such a place in Sheboygan County and was surprised to find out that this place is allowed to continue operation. The pictures are horrible and the news interview with the owner was amazing. He says he is not a puppy mill, but he makes a living breeding and selling puppies. These puppies are born to mothers who are bred repeatedly.

To look at these pictures, one would cry after seeing such inhumane conditions that these dogs live in day after day. Do these dogs have socialization, love, proper grooming and regular vet care? All one can do is pray that these dogs are rescued before any more puppies are born and held there for breeding.

Pet stores will tell you they do not buy from puppy mills, but will not tell you were they get the puppies from. These dogs are kenneled in the stores, watch as people come, and go, but leave them there. Yes, some stores leave the dog out for a couple of hours, but some of these dogs are there for months with no proper training or one on one bonding.

More people have to express opinions about these practices. It is inhumane to keep dogs cooped up in a small kennel with no love and touching. Another reason they stay there so long though is they charge an arm and a leg for puppies. Who is making the bucks for selling these puppies? Puppy mills and stores who buy from the puppy mills need to be put out of the dog selling business.

Everyday a new puppy mill is brought down, but two or three spring up in the backyard of your neighborhood. It is time for laws to regulate breeding of these dogs. Reputable breeders are the ones who register themselves as breeders and only breed healthy males and females. Stop the puppy mills from existing and save the poor defenseless dogs from a life of sadness and deplorable conditions.

Bring the Kids and the Family Pet

Places that welcome the kids and the family pet see more vacation rentals filling up faster and more often than ever before. The real cause is not the kids, but the family pet. If you remember to keep everything safe, the vacation will be fun and enjoyable.

If you choose a vacation rental out in the wooded areas, you want to check into wildlife activity and any suggestions the agent might have as far as safety and security of the kids and the beloved pet. Dogs love to chase things and cats love to entice other animals. Even through a window, a cat can be devious.

Most vacation rentals offer the kitchen necessaries, such as dishes, towels and pans. Please be neat and clean, and bring Brutus’s own dishes along for feedings. Dogs like to eat out of any dish, but for more of a homey feeling, they should have something personal.

Before leaving, if you encounter loose dog hair, just run the vacuum real quick so the housekeeping associates do not have to work extra hard to remove excess hair. Sometimes a nice little tip helps as well, since they will be cleaning for Brutus as well as the family.

Where did that Dog go to now?

If you happen to let the family dog outside and he does find something the catches his attention, he may just take off after the new attraction. If you lose the beloved little dog, always call the emergency number listed by the phone. If you remember, you could enquire as to what steps to take when you rent the vacation rentals.

Vacation rentals provide you with good information and help to make your vacation fun and enjoyable. They will gladly provide any information you might need in case of a problem of this type. Be prepared for any problem that may arise when you take the family pet along.

Some dogs just love to be outside and most vacation rentals have outdoor areas that might have enclosed for freedom runs by your family pets. In this case, you do not have to worry losing the beloved pet. Just do not the dog outside for long periods if he barks a lot, you do not to upset the neighbors.

Vacation rentals come with nice furnishings and a décor to match. Make sure the family pet respects this as well. Always remember to take whatever necessary equipment alone to help the dog feel more relaxed in new surroundings.

Make Sure You Dog Has Check Ups And Vaccinations

Bookmark and Share

A healthy dog is one who has regular check ups and receives needed vaccinations against rabies and distemper as well as heartworm prevention. People do not realize that just like babies, dogs also need to have their first shots at a young age. After the first shot, they need regular vaccinations to ensure they stay healthy and free from diseases that can infect and kill them.

If you have a regular veterinarian, they will inform you when vaccinations are required and what tests may be needed. If your dog shows signs of problems, you need to have a check up to see what the problem might be and what is causing it to happen. The earlier you take your dog to the vet, the better the chances of a full recovery from whatever is ailing them.

In some case, we forget about vaccinations and we should have a calendar to remind us of the necessary times and dates that they are required. This is vital to our dog’s health. If they would have an encounter with a rabid animal, they to could become infected and the result would be death. No to mention the fact they could infect us and other animals as well.

If you practice proper care of your dogs, you can ensure them a healthy life without to many problems. Keep in mind; if you suspect a health problem such as diarrhea, depression, loss of appetite, decreased urination or increased thirst, you need to have immediate medical care to have tests done to find the problem before it becomes severe. In most cases, dogs do respond to treatments if treated early.

Keep your dog happy and healthy just as you would yourself. Proper hygiene, vaccinations, diet and exercise are just as important to your dog’s health as it is to your health. Veterinarian’s are there to help your pets and they will be happy to answer any questions you might have about your cherished little dog as well. They may even have some suggestions for proper diet, supplements, grooming and bathing tips. If you love your dog as much as I love mine, you want them to live forever, or as long as they can.

People Who Breed For The Money Only

Bookmark and Share

As you know, many people breed their pets just to make money. This is causing a great deal of unwanted pets. With the dog population becoming critical, people need to stop breeding just for the money. Have you ever noticed the advertisements for a Labadoodle or a Pektzu? These dogs are being sold for over three hundred dollars. The following is a true story that just happens to prove a point. Some people are breeding these beautiful creatures to make money. It is not healthy for the females to continue to produce litter after litter without time to recuperate from the birth.

A person, who owns a Pekinese and a Shih-Tzu, continues to allow the female to become impregnated by the male. This is done whenever the female comes into heat. Her litters are usually five or six puppies. The person then sells the puppies for three hundred dollars to have money to drink. The puppies are not vet checked before selling nor do they have their first shots. This person continues to find people to buy these puppies and therefore, she continues to breed.

There was one puppy in the second last litter that was never taken, he is bull legged as the Pekinese father and no body wanted him. The owner was desperate to get rid of him because the mother was pregnant again. The puppy was four months old and never housetrained. I was asked if I wanted to buy him and I said absolutely not. When I was asked again the price was lowered to pay me if you can. I walked into this house and saw dog urine and feces everywhere. It took me all of two minutes to pick this little guy up and take him home. The others were somewhere else at the time, so I did not see them.

Training Jake was a task. He was never trained or even offered the outdoors as a way to go to the bathroom. After three hard and long weeks, I finally turned him around. My point is, this little guy was never cared for properly and I felt so sorry for him, I had to rescues him. There is no law saying how many times you can breed your dog nor is there anything stopping people. If people continue to breed dogs with health issues, the dog population of abandoned pets will increase.

I am a dog lover and would never have been able to pay such a price for this dog, but to this day, she has never asked me for the money. Everyone knows her reputation and still she finds people to buy these dogs. If people would stop supporting these people, maybe only reputable and respectful people would have dogs available without health issues. This to me is just a home run puppy mill. Another example of poor breeding practices. The only ones that suffer are the animals.

I have Jake and he is better taken care of and has learned many things in the months I have had him. He is the apple of his mom’s eyes. He and his brothers and sisters have a blog as well. You can learn about their days on Jake, Pooh and the Cats. Click this link over on the right.

Punishments For Dog Mistreatment And Cruelty

Bookmark and Share

People have no concern for harming a precious animal. A dog that has been mistreated, not cared for, starved or abandoned will have memories of this type of treatment forever. They have memories and feelings just as we as humans do. What are the punishments today for animal cruelty? You will be surprised to learn that they amount to a fine, very low mind you, to a couple days in jail, only in some cases. What is the difference between child abuse and animal abuse? In my mind, there is no different, both depend on us to care for them and nurture them.

Now, why would the laws governing child abuse not carry over to animal abuse? I see no difference between the two. Children need love and caring to grow and become a part of society, animals need love and caring to grow to become a part of society. Both need the same thing, so why are there not any laws to protect animals from abuse. People must stand up, take a stand on the treatment of animals in our society, and insist on harsher punishments for all involved.

Look at the love in the eyes of a dog or any other animal, see there expressions of love and fear, how could it be all right to mistreat them and leave them to die an inhumane death? You see news reports of people running puppy mills and these dogs are in horrible conditions. Why were they allowed to do this in the first place? Why don’t people report these horrible acts on animals to officials? Are we living in a society that renders itself anonymous to such acts of cruelty? People need to start taking affirmative action when it comes to saving these poor creatures from a life of misery and death.

If you see animals in need of help, stay a stance and call someone who can help. Never sit back and allow this to happen. Our children and our animals need protection. Just because we did not give birth to our animals, we still owe them the perfect life. They are our children in some ways. They depend on us to feed them, guide them and love them, same as children do. Tomorrow a look at people who continue to allow their dogs to mate for money purposes.

Dog Cruelty Is Killing Out Precious Creatures

Bookmark and Share

Dog cruelty is fast becoming as common as theft, disorderly conduct and drunk driving. It is sad that our laws do not protect these innocent creatures from physical, mental and inhumane treatment. Stiffer penalties are needed for such crimes against animals. Without these penalties, people will continue to treat these beautiful creatures with disrespect and mistreatment. We as people need to speak up for the animal population, as they are unable to stand up for themselves.

A recent article in the Sheboygan Press in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, proves that people need to have harsher sentences for the mistreatment of animals. This person was left in charge of a puppy. The apartment was vacant, but the dog was still there. The person taking care of the dog just ignored his responsibilities and asked someone else to check on the dog. NOBODY checked on this poor little puppy for days. By the time the puppy was discovered in a kennel inside the apartment, he was so weak and frail.

This poor puppy was starving to death slowly. It was hot, and he had no food, water or companionship. He had to potty in the kennel and sleep in it as well. This makes one cry to think that someone could treat a poor defenseless puppy in such a cruel way. Rescue missions everywhere are constantly being called on to take poor defenseless animals that have been abused and neglected.

What is being done to the people who mistreat these animals? A fine and a statement of not to do it again. Now the last time I looked down at my little guys sleeping at my feet, they are breathing, living creatures. They are not human, but some humans are not human and if you mistreat one, you are going to jail. If you kill one, you go to prison.

Our judicial system needs to recognize cruelty to animals as a crime against everyone. Just because they are not human, wait, my dogs and cats are treated as humans and they act as they are as well, therefore, all living creatures are breathing, living creatures just as we are and deserve to be treated with love and respect. My dogs and cats have their own blog Jake, Pooh Bear and the Cats, with their own description of life. How can ones justice system say you can mistreat them or starve them to death, they have their own voice.

Take your Beloved Dog Along on your Next Vacation

Take the family dog along on your next vacation. Pet friendly vacation rentals are becoming more popular everywhere you visit. Grassy areas with picnic tables allow the little dog to run around while you enjoy the weather. The vacation rentals have places with easy access to the outdoors.

Dog snacks in the places may help the little one get use to the new surroundings and help prevent any accidents that can occur. Taking the dog around with you or leaving him in the car no longer becomes a problem with the available places to take the family pet along for the ride.

Some places require a small pet deposit, but this deposit is refundable after you leave a clean and undamaged room. Outdoor activities with the family pet needs to be controlled. Do not let the animal run loose for his safety as well as the safety of others. Change of scenery may cause the animal to become irritable and cranky.

Now you can enjoy a vacation rental and never have to worry about the family pet cooped up in a kennel for the time you are gone. Kennel expenses eliminated and more money in your pocket for shopping and fine restaurants.

Vacation Rentals Love the Family Pets

Most places were you go for a family vacation and take the family pet along love to take their picture and add it to their collection of favorite pet photos. Vacation rentals adapted the pet policy due to an overwhelming response from pet owners that become sad and lonely without the loved one along with them.

People, who remain happy and content, without worrying about the family pet, tend to return more often because they have fun. Pets have fun because they are able to stay with their master. Provided the vacation rentals offer enough resources for outside activity, it will be just like being at home.

Some vacation rentals have beachfront access and families enjoy this as well as the dogs. This allows you to play fetch and enjoy water sports while soaking up some sun. The only thing to remember is if little Bear uses the beach as his bathroom, clean it up so others do not have to worry about using the beach area.

With so many vacation rentals becoming pet friendly, this sure to promote more travels for people that worry about what to do with the family pets. Just remember the rule for safety; always keep the dog on a leash.
